OP NANOOK

The exercise will take place in Whitehorse August 5-9, 2013. The planning is being led by a joint partnership between the Yukon Government and the Departmen of National Defence.

The scenario for this large-scale exercise is a major urban interface fire in the Whitehorse area. Our office will be playing in partnership with the Centre for Emergency Preparedness and Response, Yukon Health, and Public Safety Canada’s Arctic Regional office.

State Exercise Alaska Shield, March 27 - April 3, 2014

Alaska Shield 2014 (AS 2014), is a statewide full-scale biannual exercise, which will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the 1964 Good Friday earthquake. Arctic Winter Games, Fairbanks, March 15 – 26, 2014

The Arctic Winter Games (AWG) is a high-profile sports competition for Northern and Arctic athletes that brings our circumpolar world closer together. The Games provide an opportunity to strengthen and showcase our young people and our communities through international games and sports development. Held once every two years, the Arctic Winter Games represent a high level of international opportunity for aspiring athletes, cultural artists, and performers from the circumpolar world.
